Her Questions

When did you start blogging? I started December 2015 after being convinced by friends and family

What is your favorite book of 2020? That is difficult- I have read a number of incredible books this year. In terms of standalone fantasy- my favorite was Spinning Silver. In terms of a series- Shades of Magic Trilogy. In terms of old classic- either Bleak House or Odyssey

What is your favorite book of all time? Seriously, a lot can fit this category. However, I do what my favorite old classics is- Les Misérables. That will come of no surprise to followers who know me. It is much harder to choose my favorite fantasy.

What book on your TBR are you most excited about? In terms of new reads, probably Mayor of Casterbridge. My dad recommended this classic to me due to my love of Dickens- I was told Hardy was similar to Dickens and love the fact that the main character reminds me of Valjean.

What is one piece of advice you can give to new bloggers? Well, blog what you are passionate about- it is more fun and shows bloggers who you are

What television show is your favorite? Well, it actually is a food network show- Chopped

Are you excited for football season? If so, what do team do you pull for? Not the biggest fan of sports. However, if I could pull for any team- the Panthers (I live in Charlotte, NC after all)

What do you enjoy most about blogging? Probably connecting to other blogs and blogging about I am passionate about

What do you like the least about blogging? Never really thought of this.

If stranded on a desert island, what one person would you want with you and why? Funny how this question was asked. I really want to write to book set in an expansive world- so far, the expansive world is actually an island. I am think maybe that is where the origins of the Fairy Frogs are.

Who is your favorite author? Seriously, I have a lot. Dickens, Tolkien, Hugo- among other famous authors like Rowling, Homer, and others. Just this is difficult to choose just one- love both fantasy and classics

My nominees:

I always struggle with this- nominating others. So, I will be basically tagging everyone- do it if you want.

My questions:

  1. If stranded on a desert island, which of your characters would you spend time with?
  2. What is your favorite WIP you are working on now?
  3. What is one of your favorite underrated books?
  4. What is one of your biggest unpopular opinions?
  5. What is an unpopular character you actually love?
  6. If you will write a book outside of your main genre, what would it be and why?
  7. If you could write a book about one of your minor characters, who would it be and why?
  8. What are some musicals that mean something to you?
  9. If you could actually spend a day with one of your favorite musical theatre characters, who would it be and why?
  10. In musicals, in your opinion, what is the most complex love triangle you came across?
  11. What are some musicals that keep on being added back on “your to be watched” list?

  1. Congrats on a new nomination! Loved reading your answers to the tag! Like I did with your last tag, I think I’ll just answer your questions in this comment again!

    1. I think I’d want to have either Ran or Masamune from my WIP, My Enemy’s Friend with me, because they’d: 1) have survival skills, 2) not panic too much and keep me calm, and 3) would just be good people to spend time with.
    2. This is tough… I love all of them for different reasons. If I had to pick one, though, I think I’d maybe go with Clemency? It’s been difficult to work with recently, but it always has a special place in my heart.
    3. Hmm… I really liked Y.S. Lee’s The Agency series. It’s not super well-known, but I definitely think it deserves more attention!
    4. I think that maybe my most unpopular opinion is that Raoul from The Phantom of the Opera is maybe my favorite character in the show.
    5. I guess Raoul would fit here as well. Along with him, though, I tend to like the unpopular character in most musical theatre love triangles so I can add in Marius (and Cosette), and Alfred from Tanz der Vampire.
    6. Maybe fantasy or sci-fi. I’d like to do those, but both are definitely not my strong suit.
    7. I think that I’d probably like to write about Masamune from My Enemy’s Friend because he’s just a lot of fun. Plus, he doesn’t get to have nearly as large a role as I’d like for him to have.
    8. Les Miz, Elisabeth, Phantom, and Oliver! are all potential answers for this one!
    9. Maybe Raoul? I think I’d like to just let him know that some people really love him.
    10. Mmm… this is a tough one. I think there are a lot of good ones. Elisabeth and Wicked’s love triangles strike me as being two of the most complicated and complex, though. Elisabeth’s because it’s hard to tell if one character even really, truly exists, is evil or good, and so much more. Wicked, because I think that the dynamics between the three characters involved are also inherently complex as well.
    11. Les Miz is always on the list. I’d always love to see it again. The Phantom of the Opera could maybe qualify for this as well, just because it’s the kind of show I’d like to see if I get the chance to, but I probably wouldn’t be as invested in getting tickets as I would be for Les Miz. Something Rotten! is back on my list, even though I did get to see it on tour. I’d definitely like to see it again.

  2. Nice reading your answers.

I feel like most of my unpopular opinions come from love triangles. After all, love Marius, Cosette, and Raoul. The most complex love triangle I have been around belongs to Wicked- with three complex characters with an unexpected plot twist kinda of summarizes why it is complex: good thing that one isn’t hated

So true- Les Mis always gets put back on the list
