I saw this tag over at Ambitious bookworm. I knew I couldn’t refuse due to being a bookworm. In some ways, I have become more bookish this year due to musical theatre still being closed.
Questions:
What are you currently reading? Don’t exactly know. The book I just finished is Little Women. So really don’t know what I will be currently reading.
What’s your favourite ‘can’t-leave-the-house’ activity? Depends. Most likely, finishing a book chapter
A book you’ve been meaning to read forever? Hmmm- can I include a book I already finished. I had bought A Darker Shade of Magic a couple years ago, and I have been meaning to read it since. Now this year, I finally read it- well, more like the entire Shades of Magic trilogy.
An intimidating book on your TBR? Can’t think of one exactly
Top 3 priority books on your TBR? Top three priority- that is tough. Right now, after Little Women, will be reading short stories by Hans Christian Anderson and eventually in A Christmas Treasury. In terms of actual novel- it is more like seven books- the first thing I mean to read after the Holidays is the Chronicles of Narnia series
Recommend a short book? That is so easy. A Christmas Carol- that is my favorite Dickens book. I think a good way to be introduced to the author is through this story. It really shows why you are the person you are. It has an incredible cast of characters- from Scrooge to Tiny Tim among other. Actually, Scrooge reminds me of one of my characters.
Recommend a long book? Les Misérables may be over 1000 pages, but is worth the read. Despite not really liking the tangents, still was helpful. This is not just a tragedy- it is also a story of hope, love, compassion, humanity, sacrifice, and redemption. If you actually love the musical, I would suggest using your knowledge of the musical to understand the plot- yes, some characters are kinda different.
Something you’d love to do while stuck at home? I would really love to go back into knitting. I have done it the past, but due to being in college, stopped.
What do you plan on reading next? Hans Christian Anderson- still not finished, and A Christmas Treasury. They both are filled with classics- that ranges from short stories to poems. The first book in the Christmas book is A Christmas Carol- perfect way to begin a classic Christmas story
Yes l totally recommend the Chronicles of Narnia. Super good series.
And lovely post🙂

Time for a reread= haven’t read them for years. The only books I really know from that series are the first three- only because they are the only ones with a film
