TBR Book Tag

I found this tag on Leah’s Books. I thought it would be a fun tag to do.

The Questions

How do you keep track of your TBR pile? I never really had to keep track of them.

Is your TBR mostly print or ebook? I think most of them are ebooks due to my kindle. Some of my TBR boos are physical.

How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next? It somehow comes naturally. I try to do a non-classic after a classic.

A book that’s been on your TBR the longest? The longest wait might to Hard Times

A book that you recently added to your TBR? Heroes of Olympus. I recently decided to reread Percy Jackson- so finally made the decision to read its sequel.

A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover? I never decided to buy a book based on its cover. It it usually the plot or recommendation to read.

A book on your TBR that you NEVER plan on actually reading? Weird- so far read ALL my TBR books.

An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for? I am excited for the rest of the Nevermoor books.

A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read except you? It is hard to think of one. Maybe Heroes of Olympus.

A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you? Nevermoor was a recommended book.

A book on your TBR that you’re just dying to read? Well, Heroes of Olympus and Nevermoor are two of them- yes, they are both series?

The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf? I don’t know how to check this. Not all my TBR books are on Goodreads.

I tag anyone who wishes to do this tag

  1. Ah, this is fun! Honestly, my TBR has kinda gotten out of hand in the last few years, but here are my answers:
    1) I keep track on Goodreads. I just add the books I’m interested in to that list and keep a running list there. There are probably some books that I have on my shelves that I haven’t read yet that aren’t on that list, but that’s mostly because I definitely won’t forget about them since they’re already on my shelves.
    2) Print.
    3) Usually it’s just whatever I feel like at the time. I don’t really have a method for selecting.
    4) Probably my Washington Irving collection, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet, despite having it for years!
    5) The Robe by Lloyd C. Douglass is the one I last remember putting on my TBR.
    6) I don’t think I have one like that. Sure, a cover may make me interested in reading the synopsis, etc. but if that doesn’t catch my attention as well, I won’t add it to my TBR.
    7) I don’t really have one that I strictly plan on not reading. I probably should go through my TBR and take some books off that, realistically, I probably won’t get to, though.
    8) Not sure what the title is yet, but I’m looking forward to whatever’s next in Kathleen Baldwin’s Stranje House series!
    9) Probably some of the Percy Jackson books. As a kid, I had an awful, ridiculous habit of reading books in series out of order, and that’s what I did with Percy Jackson. There are still some of the books–like The Battle of the Labyrinth–that I haven’t read yet. I need to get to that sooner or later.
    10) I get recommend Jane Eyre a lot. Haven’t read it yet, hopefully will at least try it someday!
    11) Apparently it’s about 245. It’s been forever since I edited it, though, so I should probably go ahead and take some off of it. There are probably some books on there that I’m just not super interested in reading anymore, at this point!
