I didn’t go to England for vacation- I went for a pilgrimage. Our church choir was in residence at Bristol Cathedral- a pilgrimage was built around that. The people who went was a combo of choir, family, parishioners, and friends.
So, my family went up two days early. That was how I was able to see Les Mis. I literally saw that musical one day before a pilgrimage. I did have a bit of a culture shock in The West End- buying the playbill (don’t do that in the US)

Meg, you have seen some neat musicals. Have you seen many at CPCC or Theater Charlotte? They do a nice job for local and regional theater and are not as expensive. My daughter loves “The Scarlett Pimpernel,” the book, the movies and the musical. We saw that one at CPCC and enjoyed it. We also saw “Chess” there which produced a pop hit called “One might in Bangkok.” We’ve seen about two dozen at CPCC and half dozen at Theater Charlotte, all good. Keep pursuing your passion. Keith
