European Musicals I Love

Yes, a Lot of musicals take place in the US and Europe. Yesterday, I wrote a list of musicals I love in the US. Today, I decided to mention the musicals I love that take place in Europe.

  1. So many good ones! I especially love Les Mis, Beauty and the Beast and Phantom from this list. A few of my other favorite stage musicals that take place in Europe include An American in Paris and Jane Eyre.

  2. Belgiam has two really great musicals called 14-18 and 40-45 (set during the world wars, as the dates suggest). They’re in Dutch, which I don’t actually speak, but I went to see 40-45 live and it was one of the most amazing theatrical experiences I’ve ever had. And crazily enough, I actually understood most of the basic plot line (and then my Belgian friends filled in the gaps). They’re both two great non-English European musicals to check out if you’re looking for something new! Both musicals have proshots available to watch 🙂
