Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow Review

I now finished my 34th book this week. Hollowpox is the 3rd book in the Nevermoor series.

Not only have Morrigan Crow and her friends survived their first years as proud scholars of the elite Wundrous Society, but they’ve helped bring down the nefarious Ghastly Market and have proven themselves loyal to Unit 919.

Now Morrigan faces a new, exciting challenge: to master the mysterious Wretched Arts and control the power that threatens to consume her.

But a strange and frightening illness has taken hold of Nevermoor, turning infected Wunimals into mindless, vicious Unimals. As victims of the Hollowpox multiply, panic spreads. And with the city she loves in a state of fear, Morrigan realizes its up to her to find a cure for the Hollowpox, even if it will put her- and everyone in Nevermoor- in more danger than she ever imagined

The world-building is incredible- as in Nevermoor has developed even further in this book. As in discovering new locations and new parts of the Wundrous Society. Even the Decualion Hotel can do things I thought weren’t possible. As usual, I love Morrigan’s relationship with Hawthorne and you can see her friendship with Cadence even more in this novel. Even her relationship with the rest of the Unit shows even further.

Finally- Morrigan is learning what she was supposed to learn. How to be a Wundersmith- I loved meeting those new characters (Sofia and the rest of Sub-Nine). That Hollowpox really is terrifying- the attacks they make and what they become.
