It’s hard to believe, but I read 43 books this year. A lot came from the fact that is a combo of easy and hard reads, and that some were rereads. In addition, I didn’t start working until October- so I had more time to read. Now, what were those books?
Chronicles of Narnia (a reread)
- Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe
- Prince Caspian
- Voyage of the Dawn Treader
- Silver Chair
- Horse and His Boy
- Magician’s Nephew
- Last Battle
- Well, I planned to start the year with Chronicles of Narnia, a series I hadn’t read for a number of years. I barley knew four of the books- as in the ones that never became a film. So, I was looking forward to rediscovering the parts I had totally forgot about.

Howl’s Series
- Castle in the Air
- House of Many Doors
- True, it was a weird series, but still enjoyable. If you don’t read Howl’s Moving Castle, you will not understand the next two.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians (a reread)
- Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief
- Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters
- Percy Jackson and the Titan’s Curse
- Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth
- Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian
- I first read the series in middle school, and this time around, I saw things I didn’t notice that time around. For instance, I was able to pick up on Percy’s crush for Annabeth- glad I noticed it.

Heroes of Olympus
- The Lost Hero
- Son of Neptune
- Mark of Athena
- House of Hades
- Blood of Olympus
- Tip: if you want to read this series, read Percy Jackson and the Olympians. You will understand to better. That was the reason why I reread Percy Jackson. Just as original as Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Glad to find both old and new characters- my favorite new character was Leo (well, it does includes Festus- yes, a metal dragon)

Nevermoor Series
- Nevermoor: Trials of Morrigan Crow
- Wundersmith: Calling of Morrigan Crow
- Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow
- Love this series that I can’t wait for the other books to come out

Harry Potter Series (reread)- currently reading
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Alice in Wonderland
- Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
- Through the Looking Glass
The Power of Literature
- The Last Bookshop in London
- Little Paris Bookshop

Classics
- Hard Times
- To Kill a Mockingbird

Nonfiction
- The Day the World Came to Town
- This is the story that Come From Away was based off of.
- Yellow Lighted-Bookshop
- For any bookworm, read that book
- The Movie Musical
- More amazing fun for musical fans

Standalone Fantasy and Mythology
- Ella Enchanted
- The BFG
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
- Peter Pan
- Harbor on the Starless Sea
- House in the Cerulean Sea
- Circe
- Song of Achilles

Christmas Books
- Man Who Invented Christmas
- A Christmas Carol
- If you love A Christmas Carol, please read Man Who Invented Christmas, the origin story of the famous classic

Meg, well done on 43 books! You have a nice mix to choose from. Of course, the year is not over yet. Have a safe and enjoyable Christmas. Keith
